The family (and extended crew) behind Norton Court Farm. From cottage rebuilds to guest replies, everything here has been touched by real hands, and built with real stories.
Co-Owner, Guest Communication, Guest Experience & Day-to-Day Operations
I’m originally from Rugby but moved to Weston after meeting Bryn while we were travelling in Australia. We ended up living in Farm Cottage for a while, so this place has been a big part of my life for years. Both of our children were born here, and I knew how much the site meant to Bryn from all the stories Kevin and Sal had shared with us.
In 2022, when Priory View Cottage became vacant, we decided to take the leap and try listing it on Airbnb. It sounds simple now, but it was full-on — knocking down walls, fitting new kitchens and bathrooms, decorating, furnishing, the lot. I still remember the buzz when that very first booking came in. At the time, I was doing everything: laundry from the kitchen at Farm Cottage, all the changeovers, stock runs, cleans, bookings, guest messages — the works.
As more properties became available, we repeated the process again and again. Fast forward a few years, and with Dave and Stella now on board, we’ve built up to nine holiday cottages — and I couldn’t be prouder of how far we’ve come.
These days, my role covers a bit of everything: I manage bookings, guest communication, day-to-day operations, laundry, and interior design — which I’ve definitely claimed as my department (because Bryn and Dave are hopeless at it). The thing I loved most when we started was speaking to guests and meeting people from all walks of life. I’m a real people person, so guest communication and guest experience are two things I care really deeply about.
Co-Owner, Day-to-Day Operations, Maintenance & Planning
I was born on this site and lived here until I was about three years old. It was our family home and my parents’ first business. Norton Court Farm has always meant something to me. Years later, after travelling and working abroad, I moved back into Farm Cottage with Laura and everything started to come full circle.
In 2022, when Priory View became available, we decided to go for it. We gutted the place, fitted a new kitchen and bathroom, redecorated top to bottom, and listed it on Airbnb. That first booking came in fast and gave us the motivation to keep going. One property turned into a few more and the whole thing grew from there.
A couple of years later, Dave and Stella joined us. Since then, all four of us have been involved and we’re proud of what we’ve built together. Rather than constantly expanding, we’ve decided to focus on making what we have the best it can be. We want to refine it, improve it, and keep the quality high.
These days, I’m mostly on the tools. I look after maintenance, sort the back-office work, stay on top of the books, and plan future improvements around the site. I like things running properly and I enjoy staying busy.
Co-Owner, Marketing, Tech & Local Partnerships
My first job at Norton Court Farm was helping out on changeover days during the school holidays when I was a kid. Though I mostly remember trying to avoid folding duvet covers.
In 2024, I sold my coffee shop and came back to be part of the new era of the business. Bryn and Laura had already put in a huge amount of work to bring the place back to life, and that opened the door for me to get properly involved.
At the start I was mostly outside, mowing lawns, tidying the gardens, and helping out wherever I could. It gave me time to learn the rhythm of how the site actually works. Over time I naturally found myself drawn to the digital side of things. These days I run the website, manage our social media, set up email marketing and help with the backend of how the business runs. I'm also working on building relationships with other local businesses so we can support each other and grow together.
Most of it I’ve had to learn on the job, but I’ve genuinely loved figuring it all out. I never expected to enjoy the digital and marketing side as much as I do. For me, it's not just about keeping things ticking over. I want to see the business grow, reach more people, and tell the story of what we’re doing here properly.
Co-Owner, Admin & Daily Operations
I’ve always worked in admin, but after coming back from maternity leave, I didn’t return to my old job. Thanks to Bryn and Laura getting everything going again, and Dave helping grow things even more, I’ve been able to jump in and find my own spot here at Norton Court Farm.
I started out helping with cleans, restocking, changeovers and running supplies around. Once the laundry room was set up, Laura showed me the ropes there too, so I lend a hand when it’s needed. She’s been a big help from the start and always made me feel properly involved, even while I was still finding my feet.
Lately, I’ve been picking up more of the admin side, which is where I feel most at home. I help with bookings, guest prep, stock tracking, emails, and all the bits that keep things running smoothly. If you send us an email, it’s usually me who replies. Dave’s appreciated me taking that on, mostly because it means I get to remind him what he’s forgotten.
I like knowing that even though I’m not always front-facing, I’m helping make things easier for everyone else and making sure guests have what they need without even realising it. I might be behind the scenes most days, but I’m definitely in the mix.
We may be family-run, but we're never doing it alone. Norton Court Farm is supported by a brilliant extended team — from our cleaners (who are absolute machines on changeover days) to our gardener, lawn care pro, and the lovely lady behind all those beautiful seasonal plants.
They may not be on the website every day, but they're part of what makes your stay feel thoughtful, tidy, and loved.
